Aussies looking to snap up a travel bargain this Black Friday may want to hold off until Cyber Monday, Skyscanner data reveals.

The travel fare aggregator’s analysis of proprietary flights data found that Cyber Monday delivered the lowest average price per seat across the five-day sales period from Black Friday to Travel Tuesday in 2025.

Despite Cyber Monday claiming the title of the cheapest booking day, Skyscanner travel expert Jarrod Kris said that travellers shouldn’t overlook Travel Tuesday.

“By the time Travel Tuesday arrives, most people have their travel plans set and aren’t necessarily thinking about next year’s holidays,” Jarrod said.

“That’s exactly when airlines and hotels swoop in with compelling offers to inspire bookings and entice travellers to start planning their next adventure,” he said.

News Australia has announced the launch of a dedicated Travel Tuesday campaign, rolling out network-wide deals in partnership with Helloworld, Flight Centre, Jetstar, Intrepid Travel and Inspiring Vacations.

Across the full sales period, Skyscanner data also revealed that Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan saw the biggest increase in searches, up 175 per cent compared to average daily searches in the previous 12-month period.

G Adventures also recorded an uptick in bookings to Central Asia, particularly The Stans, with travel to Uzbekistan up 165 per cent.

The Stans were highlighted in the small-group tour operator’s top eight destinations to watch for 2027, and represent the top-booked region globally for the National Geographic Signature collection.
