Tourism Ireland welcomed eight travel advisors from Australia and New Zealand last week to discover the culture, cuisine and character of Ireland.
Visiting the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and Northern Ireland, the advisors experienced a range of activities across the island, including stays at some of Ireland’s top accommodation including The Hawthorn by Galway Bay.
The itinerary showcased the breadth and diversity of experiences available across the island of Ireland with food tours and oyster farms alongside visits to iconic landmarks like the Giant’s Causeway and The Gobbins Cliff Path.

“Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of Australian and New Zealand travel agents to visit Ireland, to experience first-hand some of our superb tourism offering,” Tourism Ireland’s manager for Australia and New Zealand Sofia Hansson said.
“Seeing really is believing – our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination with their clients.”
The visit formed part of the tourism board’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Australian travel trade and building destination expertise for what Tourism Ireland describes as an “important market”.
