Intrepid Travel has appointed Shaun McKay as key partnerships manager for Western Australia and the Northern Territory, strengthening the tour operator’s support for travel advisors across both regions. 

Perth-based McKay brings experience across the management, retail and travel sectors, including previous roles as a travel sales consultant with Flight Centre Travel Group. Most recently, he worked as account manager for Opal.

He’s no stranger to the Intrepid brand, having joined a Sell 12 famil in 2019. In his new role, McKay will work closely with travel advisors and partners across WA and NT to strengthen relationships, deliver local trade marketing activities, and support long-term growth.

Intrepid Travel head of partnerships ANZ, Megan Lowe, said the appointment reflects Intrepid’s continued investment in local support for its trade partners.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Shaun to the team. Building strong partnerships is at the heart of what we do, and Shaun’s experience and energy make him a fantastic addition,” Lowe said.

“He’ll be working closely with travel advisors and partners across Western Australia and the Northern Territory, helping us strengthen relationships and support growth in two key regions for Intrepid.”

McKay’s appointment follows Intrepid’s busiest-ever month for departures, and strengthens its industry partnerships team ahead of the Black Friday sale period in November.
