Accor will open the 239-room Novotel Brisbane City Centre on 1 November, taking its Brisbane portfolio to 22 hotels as the city builds towards the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The hotel is owned by Frasers Hospitality and will operate under Accor management, extending a partnership that already includes Novotel Melbourne on Collins and Novotel Sydney Darling Square.

Located at 80 Albert Street in the CBD, near Queen Street Mall and the City Botanic Gardens, the property has three meeting rooms offering 240 square metres of event space, a restaurant, a 24-hour gym and yoga room, an indoor heated pool, steam room and sauna.

Over the coming months, the hotel will undergo a renovation covering the arrival experience, reception, restaurant and bar, along with technology and connectivity upgrades. Novotel experiences will also be introduced throughout the property.

Accor Pacific chief operating officer Adrian Williams said the opening came at “a defining moment for the region”.

“With major investment in infrastructure, tourism and events underway, we see enormous potential for Brisbane over the coming decade,” he said. “Our focus is on ensuring we have the right brands in the right locations to meet that growth, and we are delighted to expand both our Novotel network and our partnership with Frasers Hospitality.”

Frasers Hospitality executive director, head of investment and asset management Jason Leong said the transformation was “an exciting milestone” for Frasers Property.

“Continued investment in this property reflects our commitment to continually enhancing our hospitality portfolio to deliver high-quality experiences and sustainable long-term value,” he added.

The hotel will showcase Novotel’s Longevity Everyday vision, which is built around four pillars – eat, sleep, move and meet – and aims to bring small, positive daily habits into the guest experience. Novotel has more than 630 properties across 70 countries.

To mark the opening, the hotel is offering stays from $262 per night, bookable via ALL.com.
