International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has marked a decade since opening, reporting 5,296 events, 10.5 million visitors and $5.8 billion in delegate spend for the NSW economy.
The venue, managed by Legends Global, says it has supported 35,782 jobs and contributed 10.9 million hotel room nights across the state. It has also picked up 128 industry awards.
ICC Sydney welcomed its first patrons on 14 December 2016 with a Keith Urban concert at the TikTok Entertainment Centre, then known as ICC Sydney Theatre.

The events tally includes 196 international business events, 922 national business events, 519 exhibitions, 2,919 banquets, meetings, functions and seminars, and 740 live entertainment events.
Last financial year alone, the venue generated an estimated $784 million in visitor expenditure from 533 events and 1.4 million attendees.
ICC Sydney chief executive Adam Mather-Brown said the anniversary was “an opportunity to celebrate the people, partnerships and progress that have defined the venue’s first decade”.
“We remain focused on what comes next, continuing to innovate, elevate client experiences and deliver positive outcomes that make a difference,” he said.

Placemaking NSW chief executive Susan Lee said the centre had helped create “energy and vibrancy across Darling Harbour”, while Legends Global APAC chief operating officer Peter Loxton said it showcased “the strength of Australian venue management on the world stage”.
Business Events Sydney chief executive Amanda Lampe described the venue as “instrumental in bringing the world’s business events community closer to the people, ideas and opportunities” that make Sydney a compelling destination.
A NSW Government project, ICC Sydney was delivered in partnership with Darling Harbour Live, a consortium comprising Capella Capital, Legends Global, Lendlease, Hostplus, Aware Super and Downer.
In recent years the venue has expanded to include The Cutaway at Barangaroo, and has launched A Quick Yarn Podcast Studios, Connect Create content capture and creation, pickleball courts on its Event Deck and an LED Activation Zone. It has also deepened community engagement through initiatives such as Dancers’ Alley.
On sustainability, ICC Sydney runs on 100 per cent renewable power through solar generation and renewable energy procurement. It has introduced a Planet First Menu Collection, is progressing its Disability Inclusion Action Plan and is starting its third Reconciliation Action Plan with First Nations organisations.
