South Sea Cruises Group and Tour Managers will welcome the first of two brand-new, fully electric coaches next month.

Under the arrangement, the 50-seat electric coaches are owned and operated by Tour Managers and will provide year-round ground transportation services for South Sea Cruises Group to and from Port Denarau.

With zero emissions and significantly lower noise levels, the electric coaches will deliver an improved experience when operating within hotel and resort premises and whilst idle at Port Denarau.

Both coaches are branded in the cruise line’s recognisable livery, making them easy for daytrip and resort-transfer customers to identify when being picked up from or dropped off at their respective hotels and resorts in the Nadi and Denarau areas.

The Tour Managers-owned coaches sport South Sea Cruises Group’s branding.

“Bringing these electric coaches to Fiji is a significant milestone for our businesses and the future of sustainable tourism,” South Sea Cruises Group CEO Brad Rutherford said.

“We are proud to partner with Tour Managers to invest in a solution that supports Fiji’s environmental efforts while providing our customers, as well as the hotels and resorts we service, with modern, comfortable and more environmentally friendly coach transfers.”

Both companies recognise that tourism is Fiji’s number one economic driver and that investment in assets and technology that protect and enhance Fiji’s tourism industry remains critical. The two electric coaches are just the beginning of of an extensive fleet replacement program across the companies’ branded fleets.
