Emirates has kicked off Arabian Travel Market 2026 with a flurry of dealmaking, signing seven Memoranda of Understanding with tourism boards spanning the Indian Ocean, Europe, Southeast Asia and the UAE, while also renewing partnerships with technology and retail players.

Emirates uses tourism board partnerships to build awareness of destinations in its source markets across its network of nearly 140 destinations, converting interest into bookings and growing visitor flows that support each destination’s travel ecosystem.

The seven board deals

  • Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) – Emirates renewed a partnership first struck in 2013 to stimulate inbound traffic via joint marketing campaigns and famils for media and trade.
  • Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) – Emirates and MTPA have renewed their agreement to promote the nation’s tourism and trade industries.
  • Madagascar’s Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts (MTH) – The partnership will support Madagascar’s push toward one million visitors by 2028 through joint advertising, tour operator incentives and famils.
  • Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) – The renewal spans joint sales calls, trade workshops, roadshows and famils across the GCC, India, China, Far East Asia and Europe.
  • Tourism Malaysia – A one-year MoU will support the Visit Malaysia 2026–2027 campaign, which targets 47 million foreign visitor arrivals.
  • Visit Finland – The agreement lands as Emirates prepares to launch Helsinki flights on 1 October, establishing the only year-round link between Finland and the UAE.
  • Fjord Norway – The official tourist board of Western Norway will work with Emirates to lift inbound tourism to the region.

Beyond tourism boards, Emirates renewed its strategic partnership with Huawei, building on ties dating back to 2020 that include the Emirates App’s integration with Huawei’s ecosystem. The renewed MoU will focus on strengthening brand engagement in China, advancing personalised digital travel solutions and exploring new media opportunities.

Emirates also signed an agreement with Dubai Duty Free to give Emirates passengers exclusive offers at DDF outlets in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.
