APT has partnered with PONANT Explorations to operate all of its 2028 Kimberley departures aboard Le Jacques Cartier, under an exclusive charter arrangement.

The partnership builds on the recent launch of APT’s 2028 Kimberley season. Select departures will be combinable with APT’s 4WD Kimberley adventures.

Le Jacques Cartier carries a maximum of 174 guests and is purpose-built for expedition cruising. Guests will take part in shore landings, Zodiac explorations and curated cultural encounters along the Kimberley’s remote coastline.

APT Travel Group chief operating officer Mladen Vukic said the partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to evolving its Kimberley offering while staying true to the immersive exploration that has defined its success in the region.

“APT has played a leading role in Kimberley cruising for many years, and we’re excited to be joining forces with PONANT Explorations once again for the 2028 season,” Vukic said.

“The Kimberley continues to captivate guests from around the world, and by working together we can combine our destination expertise with an exceptional expedition vessel. PONANT Explorations brings almost a decade of experience in the region, and with exclusive use of Le Jacques Cartier, our guests will enjoy unparalleled access to the region’s breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage and unforgettable wildlife experiences.”

PONANT Explorations chief executive Asia Pacific Deb Corbett said the two companies share a long-standing commitment to delivering exceptional expedition experiences.

“We are delighted to be coming together once again in the Kimberley, combining APT’s deep expertise in the region with PONANT Explorations’ world-class expedition capabilities,” she said.

“This partnership reflects the growing demand for immersive exploration and creates a compelling new chapter for Kimberley exploration.”
