Connected Travel has concluded its second annual conference “Connecting the Collective” in Palm Cove, Tropical North Queensland.

The conference brought together independent travel advisors, the leadership team and industry partners for three days of learning and shared experiences.

The conference included advisors just starting their travel careers to those celebrating six years with Connected Travel. The collective extended beyond the network, with suppliers, tourism partners and hotels, including GO Insurance, Globus, and Adventure Destinations all playing a part.

The learning included business and creativity. Following an AI workshop, advisors were already putting their new skills to use, creating images of the collective riding crocodiles. There was also time to get into numbers, with a practical workshop exploring sales, commissions, yield and business profitability.

The group also participated in a cocktail making class.

The collective also celebrated its own achievements, with recognition awards including Business Breakthrough and Making Waves, acknowledging the growth and contributions of its advisors.

From cocktail making at The Reef House and exploring Kuranda to a hosted dinner at Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, the group made the most of Tropical North Queensland.

“Connecting the Collective isn’t just about our advisors,” Connected Travel founder and director Marissa Papas said. “It’s our suppliers, tourism partners, hotels and everyone who contributes to what we do.”

Travellers can learn more about Connected Travel on the agency’s website.
