Riverside Luxury Cruises will add a new ship to its fleet in May 2028, expanding its European river cruise programme with more departures along the Rhine, Main and Danube.

The new Riverside Mahler will increase sailings through the Main-Danube Canal to 12 in 2028, up from four in 2026 and two in 2027.

The expanded programme includes 10 Budapest-to-Regensburg sailings and 10 in the reverse direction, alongside two Dutch Waterways itineraries and three Lower Danube departures.

Mahler will link destinations in Germany, Austria and Hungary with Amsterdam and Basel during summer, before sailing the Lower Danube in September and returning to the Rhine in October. It will finish its inaugural season with Christmas cruises on the Danube.

Riverside Debussy will introduce new nine- and 10-night cruises between Amsterdam and Basel via the Moselle River, while Riverside Mozart will add a seven-night Vienna-to-Budapest itinerary through the Wachau Valley.

The 2028 season will run from early spring to December, with itineraries ranging from three-night getaways to 23-night journeys. The programme will also feature themed cycling, golf and cultural cruises.

Riverside Ravel will continue sailing France’s Rhône and Saône rivers, visiting destinations including Lyon, Avignon and Arles.

Guests who book a 2028 sailing before June 30, 2027, will receive an 18 per cent discount across all suite categories and package types.
