Sun Island Tours has launched Cruise Smaller, a new brand that brings together worldwide small-ship cruises and private charters, with a purpose-built booking platform and additional rewards for travel agents.
The new brand builds on Sun Island Tours’ more than 35 years of experience in the travel industry and its reputation as a specialist in small-ship cruising throughout Croatia, Greece and Italy.
John and Paul Polyviou developed Cruise Smaller in response to growing demand for smaller, more intimate and personal cruising experiences, as travellers increasingly seek alternatives to traditional large-ship cruising.
“Small-ship cruising has always been a significant part of our business, particularly throughout the Mediterranean,” John Polyviou said. “We recognised an opportunity to bring together this growing segment of the cruise market under one dedicated brand, making it easier for travel agents to discover and sell small-ship cruises from around the world.”

New brand highlights
Sun Island Tours built the platform from scratch for agents, who can search, explore and compare cruises in one place and filter by destination, departure date, cruise style and vessel size. Agents can access more than 400 charter suppliers worldwide, covering bareboat charters, skippered yachts, fully crewed luxury yachts, catamarans and exclusive whole-vessel charters. Agents can also earn commission plus an additional Cruise Smaller credit on every eligible booking, and those who register through the launch link receive $50 in complimentary credit towards a future eligible booking
Products span boutique Mediterranean yachts, luxury small ships, river cruising, expedition voyages, and remote destinations such as Antarctica and the Galapagos.
The portfolio of operator partners includes CroisiEurope, Galaxy Cruises, Oceanwide Expeditions, Variety Cruises and other boutique operators, with itineraries covering European waterways, polar regions, Asia and Africa
“One of the biggest challenges with small-ship cruising is that there are so many fantastic operators around the world, but finding and comparing their products can be time-consuming,” Paul Polyviou said. “We wanted to build a dedicated centralised application that makes selling small-ship cruising easier for agents; while giving them access to products and experiences they may not have previously considered.”
Travel advisors can explore the new platform on Cruise Smaller’s website.
