The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has confirmed the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) and Trafalgar will sponsor its upcoming events.

GNTO will join the CATO Christmas Lunch 2026 as Welcome Sponsor and Trafalgar will join NTIA 2026 as Arrival Sponsor.

CATO Christmas lunch

The CATO Christmas Lunch will take place on Thursday, 3 December at Le Montage in Sydney and bring together more than 500 travel industry professionals for one of the sector’s largest end-of-year celebrations.

GNTO is encouraging Australian tour operators, wholesalers and travel professionals to look beyond Greece’s traditional summer appeal and discover opportunities to develop itineraries across the country throughout the year.

From hiking in the Peloponnese, climbing in Meteora and outdoor experiences in Epirus to city breaks in Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece offers a broad range of active, cultural and special-interest travel experiences.

“We’re very pleased to be partnering with CATO for this year’s Christmas Lunch and to have the opportunity to connect with tour operators, wholesalers and travel professionals from across the industry,” GNTO director of Australia Georgia Dimopoulou said. “Greece has long held a special place in the hearts of Australian travellers, but there is so much more for them to discover beyond the destinations and seasons they may already know.”

The NTIA

The NTIA will take place at the Palladium at Crown Melbourne on Saturday, 10 October, caps off the biggest year on record for the awards, with Trafalgar helping set the tone for a night of celebration.

With more than 2,000 peer nominations received across 39 categories, eclipsing 2025’s previous record by over 300, the NTIA weekend kicks off on Friday, 9 October, with the Beyond Borders Travel Summit at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

That evening, the NTIA Finalist Celebration follows at Aerial Melbourne. Saturday starts with the optional Wellness 5K at Parkrun Albert Park before the NTIA Gala Dinner takes over the Palladium at Crown Melbourne that night, closing with the official After Party.

“We’re delighted to welcome Trafalgar as our Arrival Sponsor for NTIA 2026 and thank them for their generous support of travel’s night of nights,” ATIA CEO Dean Long said. “Trafalgar has been part of the fabric of Australian travel for decades, and having them set the tone for the evening as guests arrive at the Palladium at Crown Melbourne is a fitting way to open our biggest NTIA yet.”
