Crystal will add a new Owner’s Suite and four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites to Crystal Serenity after the ship’s 2028 dry dock, with the accommodations to be available for sailing from 5 May 2028.

All five suites will be on Deck 11 and midship. The Crystal Owner’s Suite offers 160sqm of space, plus a 38sqm veranda. It is a two-bedroom suite designed by naval architect and naval design historian Paolo Piccione.

The suite features a living room with a library and fireplace, and a dining area with panoramic ocean views, a butler’s pantry and personalised bar service. A hi-fi system will provide multi-zone music indoors and on the veranda. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, two walk-in wardrobes and a marble-lined bathroom with a Jacuzzi. The second bedroom has its own walk-in wardrobe and bathroom, aimed at guests travelling with family. The suite also includes Technogym equipment with ocean views.

The four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites are inspired by layouts on Crystal Symphony. Each offers 80sqm of interior space and a 19sqm veranda. They will join the ship’s six existing Junior Penthouse Deluxe Suites.

Bernie Leypold, Crystal’s senior vice president of hotel operations, said the line is “continuing to thoughtfully evolve” Crystal Serenity while preserving the character guests love. He said the suites bring in fresh design elements and greater choice, creating “an accommodation collection that feels cohesive, contemporary and distinctly Crystal”.

The Owner’s Suite builds on the one aboard Crystal Grace, which is under construction at Fincantieri and due to debut in 2028. Two sister ships will follow in 2031 and 2034.

AKTG acquired Crystal in 2022 and invested US$170 million (AU$243 million) in refurbishing Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony.

Crystal is home to the first Le Casino de Monte-Carlo at sea, through an exclusive partnership with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), as well as an exceptional collection of dining experiences. These include Umi Uma, the only restaurant at sea by chef Nobu Matsuhisa; Beefbar, a collaboration with visionary restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi; and Osteria d’Ovidio, featuring a specially curated menu by Italian chefs and restaurateurs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo. The ships also feature Aurōra Spa, offering cutting-edge wellness, and Broadway-style entertainment.
