Qantas Loyalty has partnered with Expedia Group to overhaul the booking technology behind Qantas Hotels & Holidays and Jetstar Holidays. A new platform is set to launch in the first half of 2027. 

Under the strategic partnership, Expedia Group B2B will power the end-to-end booking experience across the platforms, allowing customers to book hotels and holiday packages, earn and redeem Qantas Points and manage their trips in one place.

The upgraded platform will include deeper integration with the Qantas App, improved digital self-service capabilities and machine learning-powered hotel and holiday recommendations.

Customers will also be able to bundle holiday packages with premium cabin seating and flights operated by Qantas’ codeshare partners.

Qantas Loyalty executive manager, business to consumer, Jayne Davey said the partnership would give the airline access to Expedia Group’s travel technology.

“Partnering with Expedia Group gives us access to world-class travel technology that will transform how our customers search, book, and manage their trips,” Davey said.

“This solution not only allows for deeper customisation and smarter search tools, but it also provides the foundation we need to continuously innovate, deploy new features, and support our long-term growth strategy.”

Expedia Group B2B SVP sales Carolina Cabero said the platform would combine Expedia Group’s technology with Qantas’ understanding of its customers and partners.

“By connecting supply, pricing, payments, loyalty and smarter digital experiences through one integrated platform, we’re giving Qantas the flexibility to innovate faster, deliver more personalised journeys and continue evolving Hotels & Holidays for the future,” Cabero said.

Development and integration work is currently underway. The upgraded Qantas Hotels & Holidays platform scheduled to launch in the first half of 2027.
