APT Luxury Travel has released its 11-day Kimberley Coastal Expedition for 2028 ahead of the full Australia program launch, with all departures to operate on Ponant’s Le Jacques Cartier.

The itinerary will run in both directions between Broome and Darwin. APT says the 2028 season marks a new chapter for its Kimberley cruising program.

Le Jacques Cartier carries a maximum of 184 guests with onboard facilities include lounges, multiple dining venues, a theatre, a wellness area and a swimming pool. Every stateroom and suite has a private balcony.

Highlights of the itinerary include Zodiac excursions to Horizontal Falls, cruising through King George River, and a traditional Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, alongside the region’s coastline, gorges, waterfalls and Indigenous cultural sites.

APT general manager of product and operations (AU/NZ) Cher Lontok said the company was delighted to partner with Ponant in 2028.

“The vessel’s expedition capabilities, elegant design and all-balcony accommodation make it an ideal fit for the destination,” Lontok said, “enabling guests to experience the Kimberley’s rugged beauty in exceptional comfort.”

Prices start from $16,495, with savings of up to $2,600 per couple available.
