kabarsula The ‘new default?’: 92% of FCTG corporate customers now use Qantas NDC bandar SLOT INDONESIA
Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has revealed that 92 per cent of its corporate customers are now using Qantas’ New Distribution Capability (NDC) platform. One customer even saved more than $140,000 annually.
The milestone comes after two years of collaboration between FCTG and Qantas to roll out the technology across FCM Travel, Corporate Traveller and Stage and Screen.
More than 500,000 Qantas NDC flight segments have been booked through the platform since January 2026.
NDC gives corporate travel managers access to additional airline content, including select fares and ancillary products.
FCTG said a customer case study had demonstrated annual savings of more than $140,000. It did not, however, disclose the customer’s identity or provide further details of the savings.
“We’ve reached a point where NDC isn’t an experiment – it’s becoming the default for corporate Australia,” Nikki Ping, Global Manager of Travel Distribution at FCM Travel and Corporate Traveller, said.
“In a market where seats are harder to come by, and fares are under pressure, full NDC access means our customers aren’t leaving value on the table. Every dollar we save them is a dollar they can put back into growing their business.”
The rollout involved collaboration between technology, commercial and operations teams at both companies.
Qantas head of offers and orders transformation Nathan Smeulders said the partnership was designed to improve the experience for corporate travellers.
“This isn’t just about distribution plumbing – it’s about giving customers more choice, more value, and a smoother journey from search to service,” he said.
FCTG looks to expand NDC globally
Following the Australian rollout, FCTG is now looking to expand its NDC capabilities globally.
The company said international Qantas NDC adoption doubled month on month in mid-June after online connectivity went live, with Australia and New Zealand remaining the most-booked destinations through the channel.
The next phase will focus on greater personalisation and the use of AI to streamline the booking and servicing process.
FCTG is exploring AI-powered virtual assistants and agent-assist tools to automate routine booking changes.
“By pairing order-level data with AI virtual assistants and agent-assist tools, we can automate routine changes and keep consultants focused on complex cases,” Ping said.
“The result is a faster, smarter experience for the traveller – and greater savings that customers can channel straight back into growth.”
