Sydney Airport and Heinemann Australia have unveiled Australia’s first dedicated international arrivals store, located within a baggage reclaim hall.

The new offering gives international passengers a final shopping opportunity for an assortment of offerings – from liquor and perfume products to gifts and confectionary – between clearing immigration and collecting their bags.

Sydney Airport executive general manager commercial Mark Zaouk said the partnership with Heinemann reflected the airport’s continued investment in the passenger experience.

“Sydney Airport welcomes 42 million passengers each year, and we’re focused on continually improving every stage of the journey, including the retail experience,” Zaouk said.

“Working with Heinemann allows us to bring together global expertise, premium brands and innovative retail concepts to deliver a more engaging and seamless experience for our passengers.

“This investment supports our broader vision to create a world-class airport that reflects the needs of modern travellers while strengthening Sydney Airport’s role as Australia’s international gateway.”

Heinemann Asia Pacific CEO Rajshree Dugar said the partnership was driven by a shared ambition to deliver a best-in-class retail offering for passengers travelling through the airport.
