Mandala Hotels & Resorts has completed a multi-million-dollar transformation of the former Mercure Clear Mountain, unveiling the property as Peppers Clear Mountain in Moreton Bay.

The redevelopment covered guest rooms, dining and event spaces, and the surrounding grounds, marking a new chapter for the hinterland property.

Stays at Peppers Clear Mountain, which is part of the Accor network, start from $309 per night, including breakfast for two.

Redevelopment highlights

The 51-room retreat sits across 20 hectares of pristine bushland overlooking the Glass House Mountains has long offered Brisbane locals an easy escape into nature. Mandala’s investment preserves that sense of calm while introducing elevated interiors, refined finishes and curated experiences throughout, positioning Peppers Clear Mountain as a destination for memorable stays, weddings and corporate retreats.

Mandala refurbished all guest rooms introducing a refined new look and premium standard while keeping the character and connection to nature that define the property.

The hotel’s renewed venues offer flexible arrangements for up to 150 guests, suited to conferences, meetings, weddings and private events. New packages and an elevated food and drink offering give organisers greater flexibility to shape each event around its purpose and guests.

A central fountain now stands as a focal point on Serenity Lawn. A newly finished porte-cochère creates a stronger sense of arrival, leading into updated reception and foyer areas. Improvements to guest amenities and lighting throughout bring a consistent finish to the hotel’s shared spaces.

A dedicated billiard room and newly equipped gym provide additional leisure facilities for guests throughout their stay.
