ANZCRO is doubling down on its commitment to the beloved New Zealand Book at a time when some brochures are shrinking and others are deleted from production runs altogether.

The ANZCRO New Zealand Book 2026–2027 is its biggest edition yet, with more pages, more product and more reasons for Aussie travel advisors to put New Zealand in front of clients.

For more than 30 years, ANZCRO’s flagship brochure has been the go-to reference for agents selling New Zealand. ANZCRO head of product Louise Bilbie said the new edition builds on that legacy with expanded product across the board and a brand-new agent incentive designed to get bookings moving the moment the brochure lands on desks.

“This is the biggest New Zealand Book we’ve ever put together, and it shows just how much the destination – and our product range – has grown,” she said. “We wanted agents to open this brochure and immediately see new reasons to recommend New Zealand, whether that’s a client chasing two wheels and open roads, or one who wants an expedition cruise into places most travellers never reach.”

The expanded line-up also reflects a clear shift in what Australian travellers want. Health and wellness are now front of mind when clients plan a holiday, and they want trips that keep them active rather than simply moving them from one hotel to the next.

ANZCRO said New Zealand suits that brief perfectly, with the new Cycling in New Zealand section gives agents an easy way to sell it – from gentle wine-country rides to multi-day self-guided trails through some of the country’s most spectacular landscapes.

At the other end of the spectrum, the expanded Heritage Expeditions coverage speaks to clients chasing something far more adventurous.

These are true expedition voyages – small ships, expedition leaders and naturalists on board, and Zodiac landings on New Zealand’s subantarctic islands and other remote coastlines that only a handful of travellers ever set foot on. Weather and wildlife, not a fixed schedule, dictate itineraries, and clients come home with seabird colonies, sea ice, and rarely visited islands under their belt. For agents, it is a high-value, high-conviction sell to travellers who want a genuine adventure, not just a cruise.

New sections built around growing traveller demand

The 2026–2027 edition introduces:

  • Cycling in New Zealand (pages 124–126) – a new dedicated section showcasing New Zealand’s best cycle trails and self-guided cycling holidays, for clients who want to see the country from the saddle.
  • Heritage Expeditions (pages 135–137) – expanded coverage of Heritage Expeditions’ small-ship voyages into New Zealand’s subantarctic islands and beyond, for clients chasing genuine off-the-beaten-track adventure.
  • More Sir Edmund Hillary Tours – an extended range of guided touring itineraries carrying the Sir Edmund Hillary name, giving agents more options across New Zealand’s most iconic touring routes.
