Luxury Escapes has celebrated the launch of the latest season of The World’s Best Holidays in Sydney, bringing together major travel partners, industry guests and the show’s celebrity presenters.

The launch was held at Ngara at Sydney Seafood School in Glebe on Tuesday, with Luxury Escapes CEO and co-founder Adam Schwab joining Cameron Daddo and fellow presenters to mark the new season.

Princess Cruises, South African Tourism, Singapore Airlines, Wine Selectors, Tourism NT, Destination NSW, Journey Beyond, Visit Victoria, Outrigger Hotels & Resorts and ICS Travel Group were among the partners acknowledged at the event.

Daddo told guests that the travel industry played an important role in bringing the series to life.

“As glamorous as the show looks, and believe me, it is glamorous, it does take a village to make it happen,” he said.

“It takes a whole lot of followers and an extraordinarily huge amount of video footage and, fortunately, a truly ridiculous number of magnificent destinations.”

Daddo also thanked the production team and broadcasters behind the program, which airs across Foxtel, BINGE and Seven.

Schwab told guests the latest instalment was “without question, the best series”, saying the Luxury Escapes and Foxtel teams continued to raise the bar each year.

He also reflected on the growth of the TV property from an idea floated by what was then a small Melbourne travel company around a decade ago.

“I remember when we talked about doing a TV show one day sort of 10 years ago, we thought, ‘Oh, there’s no chance we’ll get a show’,” Schwab said.

“We were just a little travel company based in Melbourne, and now we’re onto Series 9, which is pretty amazing.”

Most-watched show on Foxtel’s LifeStyle

According to figures shared by Schwab at the event, the previous series was the most-watched show on Foxtel’s LifeStyle channel and the third most-watched entertainment program across Foxtel.

Schwab said the series reached six million viewers across Foxtel, BINGE and Seven, while Luxury Escapes and the show’s talent have a combined social audience of more than seven million.

The company is already looking ahead to its next series, with Schwab revealing three episodes have been sold and inviting interested travel partners to get involved.

“We are obviously planning our next series,” he said. “I think we’ve sold three episodes so far. So speak to your Luxury Escapes rep if you are keen to help us out next year.”

The new 12-episode season takes viewers to Thailand, Singapore, Alaska, the Maldives, Japan, South Africa, Bali and Vietnam, as well as Victoria, NSW, the Northern Territory and Queensland.

Tom Williams joins the cast for his first season, alongside returning presenters Cam Daddo, Diana Chan, Hannah Hollis, Holly Nicholson, Jane Hall, Khanh Ong, Miguel Maestre, Mike Reid and Pia Miranda.

Season four of Luxury Escapes: The World’s Best Holidays premiered on Foxtel and BINGE on Thursday, 10 September, with new episodes dropping weekly.
