Explore Worldwide has partnered with the Women’s Adventure Film Tour for its 2026 Australian season as the event celebrates its 10th anniversary.

The partnership will see Explore Worldwide support screenings across Australia throughout September and October, including events in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

The Women’s Adventure Film Tour showcases women taking on challenges around the world, from mountaineering and endurance expeditions to cycling and personal journeys of resilience.

Explore Worldwide AUNZ marketing manager Emma Fehon said the partnership reflected the company’s belief that adventure means something different to everyone.

“Adventure means something different to everyone. It could be taking on an incredible physical challenge, travelling somewhere you’ve never been before, or simply having the confidence to try something outside your comfort zone,” Fehon said.

“That’s what makes the Women’s Adventure Film Tour such a great fit for Explore. The stories are incredibly inspiring, but they’re also relatable, they show the courage, curiosity, resilience and sense of connection that can come from adventure in all its forms.”

Australian adventurers take centre stage

Among the films screening this year is Journey Across Queen Maud Land on a Bike, which follows Australian explorer and record-breaking cyclist Dr Kate Leeming as she tackles one of the world’s most remote landscapes.

The program also features Limitless Above the Clouds, documenting Australian high-altitude mountaineer Allie Pepper’s ambition to become the first Australian to climb all 14 of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks without supplemental oxygen.

The Melbourne screening at Lido Cinema on Thursday, 10 September will be hosted by Felicity Harley, who recently returned from an Explore Worldwide cycling trip through Italy.

“We’re proud to support the tour in its 10th anniversary year and to celebrate the women who are pushing boundaries, telling their stories and inspiring others to get out there and find their own adventure,” Fehon added.

The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is also an official part of Jean Hailes for Women’s Health Week and will screen at cinemas, theatres and community venues around Australia throughout September and October.
