Zenith Payments, the parent company of TravelPay, has appointed Anthony Drury as its chief executive officer.
Drury will lead Zenith Payments through its next phase of growth, working with customers and partners across the group’s specialist brands.
“Zenith Payments has built a solid foundation over many years, with a deep understanding of the industries it specialises in, including travel,” Drury said. “Payments are changing faster than ever, and there’s a big opportunity to help travel agents and suppliers get paid and spend more time on their business.”
Drury brings extensive experience leading payments and technology businesses, having previously holding executive roles at American Express, easyJet, Zip, and PayPal.
Kevin Butler steps down as CEO to take on the newly created role of chief payments officer. In the new role, Butler will focus on integration solutions, partnerships, product functionality and other strategic initiatives, including TravelPay’s continued growth among travel agents and suppliers.
“Leading the Zenith business units for much of my time here has been one of the privileges of my career,” Butler said. “After 21 years, now is the right time for me personally to step back from the front seat and it is a great time to bring in new leadership for Zenith’s next phase of growth, while I focus on the areas I love best: our integration solutions, payment partners and products.”
Drury’s appointment comes shortly after Zenith Payments appointed James Swan as its chief financial officer.
