Egypt and Jordan are back, says Dennis Bunnik of small group touring specialist Bunnik Tours which has unveiled its new Egypt & Jordan 2027/28 brochure.

Featuring more than 100 departures across nine itineraries that showcase the ancient wonders, striking landscapes and rich cultural traditions that these regions have to offer, the return has been greeted with much enthusiasm. 

“What started as a trickle has turned into a torrent with Egypt being the number one requested Bunnik Tours destination at recent travel shows in Sydney and Adelaide,” the joint-CEO of Bunnik Tours tells Travel Weekly.

“Booking levels are up 200 per cent from what they were six weeks ago with many travellers choosing to add Jordan to their Egypt tours.

“We’ve also seen a dramatic increase in the number of private tours and groups booking Egypt. This includes both multi-generational family groups and travel agents creating their own private groups.

“It was only a matter of time before Egypt bounced back. The full opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) late last year triggered a massive boost in travel to Egypt. And now that fights with the Middle East carriers have been fully restored the demand for Egypt has bounced straight back up again.

“I was able to see the GEM for myself in February and can tell you it lives up to the hype. It has instantly become one of the world’s greatest museums and an absolute must see!”

Spanning from February 2027 until April 2028, the program features a mix of new and returning journeys, offering travellers fresh ways to discover these captivating destinations through immersive local experiences and Bunnik Tours’ regional expertise.
