Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has opened bookings for Norwegian Bella, its newest ship set to sail the Mediterranean from May 2028.

Norwegian Bella will offer seven-day round-trip voyages from Barcelona, taking guests to some of Europe’s iconic destinations, including Rome, Florence, Marseille and Palma de Mallorca.

The vessel will close out NCL’s Prima Class. The 170,000-gross-ton ship measures about 1,129 feet and carries 3,921 guests at double occupancy. She will join Norwegian Aura as the largest ships in the NCL fleet.

“Norwegian Bella marks a milestone moment in our fleet as the culmination of our award-winning Prima Class,” Norwegian Cruise Line APAC managing director Ben Angell said. “We look forward to welcoming guests to discover the Mediterranean with us aboard Norwegian Bella.”

Fincantieri is building Norwegian Bella, which is due for delivery in May 2027.

Ship highlights

Ocean Heights spans decks 18 to 21 as an open-air complex that shifts from daytime playground to evening social hub, with immersive lighting and LED projections.

Ocean Boulevard is a promenade that wraps the ship on deck eight and offers more seating than on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, along with hot tubs and an outdoor bar.

The pool deck is more than 15 per cent larger than those on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. Waterslides and interactive water features complement the pool.

Finally, Norwegian Bella has nearly 2,000 staterooms, ranging from inside staterooms and studios to balcony options, designed for families and multigenerational groups.

Australian contemporary artist George Rose designed the ship’s hull art. Rose is known for bold murals and vibrant botanical compositions, and her career spans more than 15 years.

“Designing the hull art for Norwegian Bella was an opportunity to capture the sense of wonder that travel inspires,” Rose said. “Through vibrant colour, organic forms and a feeling of movement, I wanted to create a piece that reflects the excitement of exploration and discovery.”
