Silversea has kicked off its 2026/27 Antarctica season, with the first departures of Silver Endeavour from King George Island and Silver Wind from Puerto Williams, Chile.

Through to March 2027, Silver Endeavour, Silver Wind and Silver Cloud will operate 40 voyages ranging from six to 21 nights, including 29 Antarctica Fly Cruise sailings that each feature a stay at The Cormorant at 55 South, billed as the “Southernmost Hotel on Earth”.

Silversea will hold the official grand opening of the Puerto Williams property on November 5, with guests on earlier voyages getting an early preview.

“Antarctica is central to Silversea’s expedition program, and this season gives guests even greater choice in how they reach it,” Silversea president Bert Hernandez said. “Some will explore the Falkland Islands and South Georgia in the footsteps of famed explorers, before continuing to the Antarctic Peninsula, while others will opt for our innovative Antarctica Fly Cruise program, now enhanced by the unveiling of The Cormorant at 55 South, which welcomes its first guests this season.

“The Cormorant will create a uniquely seamless journey to Antarctica, opening up a part of the world that is often difficult to explore, yet has so much to offer. We can’t wait to welcome guests to discover it at the Southernmost Hotel on Earth.”

Of the 29 Fly Cruise itineraries, 14 are roundtrip sailings aboard Silver Endeavour, flying guests over the Drake Passage in both directions. The other 15 are one-way sailings aboard Silver Wind, Silver Cloud and Silver Endeavour, pairing a flight with a ship crossing of the Drake Passage, southbound on some departures and northbound on others. Charter flights, expedition experiences and Zodiac outings are included on every sailing.

A further 11 voyages will cross the Drake Passage by sea in both directions from Puerto Williams.

Silver Endeavour will feature the season’s longest and only sailing to end in Buenos Aires.

Highlights

  • Silver Wind’s 18-night roundtrip departing November 7, calling at West Point Island, Saunders Island and Port Stanley in the Falklands before South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Antarctic Peninsula
  • Four 15-night Silver Cloud voyages combining South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Peninsula, the first departing November 9
  • Silver Cloud’s 12-night roundtrip departing December 9, which includes a day south of the Antarctic Circle
  • Silver Wind’s 15-night holiday sailing departing December 22, taking in the Peninsula and South Georgia
  • Silver Endeavour’s 21-night voyage departing March 4, 2027, the season’s longest and only sailing to end in Buenos Aires, calling at South Georgia, the Falklands and Puerto Madryn, Argentina

Every Fly Cruise includes a night in Puerto Williams, supported by Silversea-branded charter flights from Santiago, which the company says is the only direct flight linking the Chilean capital with the town.

Silversea’s Expedition Experts will be on permanent rotation at the hotel, leading kayaking on the Beagle Channel, guided hikes on Navarino Island and horseback excursions with a Patagonian baqueano. The main restaurant, Latitude 55, will serve family-style Patagonian dining, while Bar Sur will offer Chilean wines and local cocktails.
