kabarsula The great bush migration – Airbnb data reveals fastest growing regional escapes bandar SLOT INDONESIA
New Airbnb search data revealed the fastest growing destinations this spring as Australians increasingly swap crowded tourist hotspots for regional escapes.
Travellers are heading remote with places such as Berri Barmera, Nannup, Wodonga, Northern Grampians and Goulburn.
A growing appetite for simpler, nostalgic holidays is driving the trend of bush getaways. Airbnb research found more than 70 per cent of Australians believe the best holidays are the simplest ones, while nearly two-thirds say access to nature is the biggest trigger for happy childhood holiday memories.
“The great Aussie getaway is booming, and it’s heading to the bush,” Airbnb Australia and New Zealand country manager Susan Wheeldon said. “Young travellers are discovering regional towns, families are chasing country escapes for the school holidays and people are going weekending, trading the end-of-year chaos for time with the people they love.”
