Abu Dhabi, Sept. 29 (SANA) The Damascus Securities Exchange and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday to strengthen cooperation and share expertise.

The exchanges did not announce specific joint projects or a timetable for carrying out the agreement.

The signing took place at the Arab Federation of Capital Markets’ annual conference in Abu Dhabi. Syrian Finance Minister Mohammad Yisr Barnieh attended alongside Damascus Securities Exchange CEO Basel Asaad and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Group CEO Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi.

The two-day conference brings together more than 600 participants, including executives and representatives of more than 25 exchanges and other institutions, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported. Its agenda includes digital transformation, links between markets and financial market infrastructure.
