Accor has signed a deal with Reve Group to operate Novotel Sydney Castle Hill, a 143-room hotel due to open in early 2029 within the Nova Rêve mixed-use precinct in Sydney’s Hills District.

The new-build hotel will include restaurants, cafes and bars – among them an elevated dining venue with district views – as well as a fitness centre, pool, and conference and events facilities.

It will be within walking distance of Castle Towers and Castle Hill Metro Station, and Accor is targeting corporate travellers, conference and events delegates, project teams and leisure guests.

Accor CEO MEA APAC Duncan O’Rourke said the signing was “a testament to the resilient demand for trusted, internationally recognised hospitality brands” in key economic and lifestyle corridors across Asia-Pacific.

“As urban dynamics shift, integrated mixed-use precincts like Nova Rêve are becoming the blueprint for modern living and travel,” he said.

Accor Pacific COO Adrian Williams said Castle Hill was “one of Sydney’s most dynamic growth corridors”, supported by major investment in transport, retail and residential infrastructure.

He said the signing reflected Accor’s confidence in the Hills District and “the growing opportunity for hotels to play an important role within mixed-use precincts”.

Reve Group managing director Sam Kassis said the Novotel would add “a globally recognised hospitality brand” to the precinct, and give the district somewhere to hold a conference, wedding or family celebration without leaving Castle Hill.

Reve Group, which grew out of Kassis Homes, is developing the hotel. The Hills District-based company says it has more than 30 years’ experience delivering residential and mixed-use projects across Sydney.

Nova Rêve will comprise 253 apartments across three towers, rising to 23 levels at the tallest point, along with more than 1,600sqm of ground-level shops and cafes and almost an acre of landscaped communal gardens. Turner is responsible for architecture and interiors, and Land and Form Studios for landscape design.

Novotel operates more than 620 hotels in 70 countries. Accor currently runs more than 420 hotels, resorts and extended-stay properties across the Pacific.
