Sunshine Coast Airport (SCA) has announced the appointment of Tony Edmondstone as its next chief executive officer, bringing extensive executive leadership experience across infrastructure, aviation and commercial operations.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Edmondstone joins SCA from Airport Development Group, where he served as CEO for more than six years. The company owns and operates a portfolio of airports \u2013 Darwin International Airport, Alice Springs Airport and Tennant Creek Airports \u2013 hotels, electricity and a significant property portfolio.<\/p>\n Prior to this, he worked as global head of supply and CFO for Orica Mining Services, and held leadership positions at Alcoa, Amcor and News Limited.<\/p>\n Commenting on his appointment, Edmondstone said he was excited to join Sunshine Coast Airport at a pivotal time in its growth.<\/p>\n \u201cSunshine Coast Airport is a fabulous community asset which plays a critical, and ever expanding, role in supporting one of Australia\u2019s fastest growing regions.<\/p>\n \u201cThe airport has a strong vision, an experienced team and a number of transformational projects underway.
