Virtuoso brought together some of its highest-performing agency owners and managers from around the world for its 2026 Chairman\u2019s Event, hosted aboard m\/s Paul Gauguin<\/em> in French Polynesia from 10\u201314 October.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the first time, Virtuoso is hosting two Chairman\u2019s Events in 2026, across two distinct destinations, with the first having taken place in French Polynesia in October and the second scheduled for Japan in November.<\/p>\n

During the first event, Virtuoso signed a global commercial agreement with Ponant Explorations. The agreement will lift client benefits for advisors and boost member commissions, and broaden commercial opportunities across the Ponant Explorations group. Ponant now joins 27 other cruise lines with global agreements with Virtuoso member agencies.<\/p>\n

The event ran from October 10 to 14, setting sail from Papeete, Tahiti. Paul Gauguin Cruises, part of Ponant Explorations, hosted 77 agency owners and managers from 11 countries.<\/p>\n

Virtuoso regional general managers from Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, China and the United States joined Upchurch on board. Ponant Explorations deputy chief executive Belinda Hindmarsh and Americas chief executive Samuel Chamberlain also attended.<\/p>\n

Over four days, attendees built meaningful connections, beginning with a sail away welcome reception set against the waters of French Polynesia. At the event\u2019s cornerstone business meeting, attendees took part in AI-powered ideation sessions, gave input on network priorities and heard from Virtuoso\u2019s senior leadership about trends shaping luxury travel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
