Perth Airport has unveiled the completion of its refreshed T1 International retail and hospitality precinct, marking a major investment in the passenger experience as international travel prepares to welcome over 50,000 travellers on peak days during the winter school holidays commencing this week.<\/p>\n

The completion of a significant T1 International food, beverage and retail refresh has introduced 14 new and revitalised outlets across the terminal, delivering a stronger mix of dining, shopping, local produce, travel essentials and premium experiences for passengers.<\/p>\n

\u00a0New venues include Matso\u2019s Brewhouse, WA Cellar, The.Social, Co + Co, Roll\u2019d Vietnamese, Sushi Jiro, The Jerky Co., Heys Luggage, Discover Perth, Natural Collective, curi.o.city and a reimagined Perth Duty Free helping to deliver a more contemporary international terminal experience.<\/p>\n

        Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS)<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

        Visitors to the country can claim a refund on goods and services tax (GST) and wine equilisation tax (WET) that they have paid on certain good during their stay. It is open to all overseas travellers and Australian residents. There are certain conditions to claim the refund:<\/p>\n

        • Spend $300 or more (including GST)<\/li>\n
        • Goods must be purchased no more than 60 days before departing Australia<\/li>\n
        • Goods must be paid by the traveller themself<\/li>\n
        • They must have an original tax invoice for the goods<\/li>\n
        • wear or carry the goods on board as hand luggage (unless they are liquids, gels or aerosols or oversized or bulky goods which must be checked-in) and present them along with your tax invoice, passport and boarding pass to a Tourist Refund Scheme desk prior to departing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          New terminal opening in 2031<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

          Perth Airport partnered with DXC Technology as Master Systems Integrator (MSI) for a new terminal in development, a key milestone in the airport\u2019s multi-billion-dollar investment to transform its infrastructure. Key details of the partnership:<\/p>\n

          • The new terminal facilities, scheduled to open in 2031, will bring all commercial airline operations into a single central location to improve efficiency and enhance the passenger journey.<\/li>\n
          • DXC will manage the design, integration, testing and commissioning of more than 70 information technology and operational systems that will support the new terminal facilities in addition to ensuring they work together to deliver a connected and smooth passenger experience.<\/li>\n
