experiences were all on the agenda as PROMPER\u00da brought together Australian travel advisors and leading industry partners for an exclusive breakfast in Sydney.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event Green Moustache restaurant aimed to expand trade knowledge of Peru\u2019s diverse tourism offering and encourage travel beyond the country\u2019s best-known landmarks and regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAustralian travellers may know Peru for its icons, but there is so much more to discover across the country,\u201d PROMPER\u00da\u2019s Trade, Tourism and Investment Commissioner to Australia and New Zealand, Soledad Campos de Parry, said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough events like this, we want to give travel advisors the knowledge and inspiration to introduce their clients to Peru\u2019s lesser-known destinations and experiences, and encourage them to stay longer, explore further and discover a different side of the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A panel featuring Adventure World national account manager Andrea Morgan, G Adventures business development manager Maria Brufatto, Intrepid Travel key partnerships manager Nicola McKenzie and LATAM Airlines regional director, APAC Alberto Chico Garcia, explored emerging destinations, cultural experiences, luxury travel and connectivity.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Beyond Machu Picchu<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Peru continues to perform strongly within the Australian market, with Morgan reporting sustained demand for ecolodges, wellness immersion and luxury rail journeys.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW94673945 BCX0\">\u201cC<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW94673945 BCX0\">lients are certainly looking to go deeper into those wellness aspects and absolutely to be immersed and appreciate the natural environment,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>G Adventures\u2019 Brufatto also highlighted lesser-known destination such as Chachapoyas, the capital of the Amazonas region, as Chico Garcia brought the growing hub of Arequipa into the spotlight.<\/p>\n<p>McKenzie said that Peru presents a wealth of opportunities for Intrepid Travel\u2019s adventure seekers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span class=\"TextRun SCXW189467861 BCX0\" cultural experiences<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The panel also highlighted the growing demand for travel experiences that create a deeper connection to local communities.<\/p>\n<p>Intrepid has been partnering with AMA Restaurant in Urubamba, a small town in Peru\u2019s Sacred Valley, founded by Julio Chemi Sanchez Hernandez, to create opportunities for single mothers and offer a space where they family,\u201d McKenzie said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Peruvian gastronomy was another draw, with Morgan pointing to the country\u2019s combination of traditional techniques and sophisticated dining Peru<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Luxury was also firmly on the agenda, with operators reporting growing opportunities to pair Peru\u2019s adventurous experiences with high-end accommodation and service.<\/p>\n<p>Brufatto highlighted Tambo del Inka in the Sacred Valley, which features on a new luxury product launched by the operator earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just launched a new product at the beginning of the year and we\u2019re starting with the first departures in 2027. And it is luxury all the way,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Adventure World also teased a new glamping eco-resort on a private island in Lake Titicaca.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLuxury is subjective, but I have seen the interiors of some of these properties and they are outstanding. Your clients will want for nothing,\u201d Morgan said.<\/p>\n<p>Intrepid has also introduced a new Women\u2019s Expedition led by a female shaman, offering a more immersive experience in a traditionally male-dominated field.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a very male-oriented field.
