Anantara has unveiled its first safari property in Africa in the same year it celebrates its 25th anniversary.<\/strong><\/p>\n Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River is a 13-key property that sits on the Kafue River in Zambia\u2019s largest national park.<\/p>\n The property is set on rosewood platforms to protect essential wildlife corridors, with private river frontage offering uninterrupted views of a thriving wilderness where hippos, elephants, large predators, antelope and more than 500 bird species flourish.<\/p>\n Lead-in rates start from US$6,300 per room per night (around AU$9000), based on two people sharing a suite and inclusive of full board, premium beverages, twice-daily game drives, personalised butler service and one 90-minute spa treatment per person, per stay.<\/p>\n Meg Ralph Spaces designed the camp, which runs on solar power with on site water purification and minimal single use plastics. Anantara Kafue embodies African modernism through clean lines, materials shaped by hand and landscape\u2011informed design.<\/p>\n The camp\u2019s signature feature, the three 110\u2011square\u2011metre Horizon Terrace Suites, stay 14.3 metres above the ground and are accessible by a glass elevator that dissolves into the landscape. The upper deck focuses on open\u2011air living, with a star bed for sleepouts beneath the night sky.<\/p>\n Nine 115\u2011square\u2011metre Pool and Bush Villas rise 3.5 metres above the ground on timber platforms, each one a tented sanctuary immersed in the landscape.<\/p>\n As part of the brand\u2019s signature Designer Dining experience, a floating platform anchored gently into the river hosts intimate breakfasts, afternoon tea and sunset wine tasting.
