Viking announced it has taken delivery of its newest river ship in Egypt, the Viking Sekhmet<\/em>, with the delivery ceremony taking place at Massara shipyard in Cairo.<\/strong><\/p>\n The cruise line built Viking Sekhmet<\/em>, which can host 82 guests in 41 outside staterooms, specifically for the Nile. Viking Sekhmet <\/em>features elegant Scandinavian design like her identical sister ships, Viking Osiris<\/em>, Viking Aton<\/em>, Viking Sobek<\/em>, Viking Hathor<\/em>, Viking Amun<\/em> and Viking Thoth, <\/em>including a distinctive square bow and an indoor and outdoor Aquavit Terrace.<\/p>\n The new ship will sail the 12-day Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary, as well as the new 12-day Total Eclipse on the Nile itinerary in 2027. In addition, Flight Centre Travel Group\u2019s head of premium leisure and independents, Danielle \u201cDani\u201d Galloway, has been named godmother of the Viking Sjofn.<\/em><\/p>\n\n
