Ponant Explorations is bringing its Discovery Sessions back to Australia and New Zealand in October and November with a series of exclusive events in Auckland, Christchurch, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The sessions will offer guests, travel partners and their clients an opportunity to discover Ponant\u2019s new extraordinary 2028 and 2029 itineraries brought to life through the insights and experiences of Ponant Explorations\u2019 experts.<\/p>\n

For the first time, Captain Mathieu Tsingrilaras will join the Australian sessions sharing stories from more than 11 years with Ponant and his extensive experience across Antarctica, the Arctic, Polynesia and beyond. A Franco-Greek mariner originally from the Marseille region, Captain Tsingrilaras joined Ponant Explorations in 2010 and has since spent more than 11 years aboard the company\u2019s ships.<\/p>\n

A specialist in polar navigation and expedition operations, he contributed to the construction and launch of both L\u2019Austral<\/em> and Le Commandant Charcot<\/em>, playing an active role in the latter\u2019s development and entry into service.<\/p>\n

Captain Tsingrilaras has commanded Le Bellot<\/em> and Le Bor\u00e9al<\/em>, including voyages in Antarctica, and brings extensive experience navigating some of the world\u2019s most remote regions. Beyond his responsibilities at sea, he contributes to the development of new Ponant Explorations\u2019 itineraries, including scouting winter expeditions in Greenland and voyages along Australia\u2019s west coast.<\/p>\n

Passionate about exploration and life at sea, Captain Tsingrilaras brings deep maritime expertise, international experience and a long-standing connection to Ponant Explorations and its culture of exploration he loves sharing with guests.<\/p>\n

In New Zealand, Expedition Leader Xavier Moroy will take guests behind the scenes of seven years of exploration with PONANT sharing memorable adventures from Antarctica, the Kimberley, Japan and French Polynesia.<\/p>\n

Moroy has spent the past four years as an Expedition Leader, overseeing everything beyond the ship\u2019s rail, from Zodiac operations and landings to excursions and the coordination of the expedition team. His role is to bring each itinerary to life, taking guests as close as possible to the shore, wildlife and local communities. His voyages have taken him from Antarctica to the Kimberley, from Japan to French Polynesia, and deep into Melanesia, a region that he describes as a true cultural shock, one that continues to shape the way he approaches every village visit and encounter. <\/span><\/p>\n

There will also be exclusive event-only offers including an additional 5 per cent saving on staterooms and suites for voyages departing within 12 months of the event or a \u20ac300 shipboard credit per person for voyages departing more than 12 months after the event alongside early booking savings of up to 30 per cent.<\/p>\n
