South African Tourism has celebrated South Africa\u2019s Heritage Day with the official launch of Season 4 of Food Trail South Africa, bringing together travel industry partners, media and creators at The Calyx in Sydney\u2019s Botanic Gardens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

South African-born Australian chef and television personality Warren Mendes and celebrity chef and media personality Miguel Maestre will host the fourth season, which premieres on Network 10 on Saturday 3 October at 3:30pm.<\/p>\n

Episodes will screen weekly, with viewers joining Mendes on a journey to uncover South Africa\u2019s hidden gems through its people, stories and flavours.<\/p>\n

Across ten new episodes, Warren travels from the vast Great Karoo and the protected coastline of De Hoop Nature Reserve to Cape Town\u2019s Constantia Valley, Johannesburg, KwaZulu-Natal and the Greater Kruger. At the heart of each episode are the people who bring South Africa\u2019s food and culture to life \u2013 chefs, producers, guides, conservationists and local communities \u2013 who introduce Warren to the places, traditions and flavours they know best. Food is the common thread, showcasing not only the diversity of South Africa\u2019s culinary offering, but also the warmth, generosity and hospitality of its people.<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s previous seasons have collectively reached more than five million Australian viewers, while building an international following with episodes screening across 46 African countries, Japan, Poland and Canada.<\/p>\n

Luxury Escapes Culinary Tour<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Also announced at the event was a new Luxury Escapes Signature Series culinary tour, departing in 2027 and inspired by Food Trail South Africa. Mendes and Maestre will also host the tour, which will offer Australian travellers the opportunity to experience some of the destinations, flavours and stories featured in the series firsthand.<\/p>\n
