Six Senses Fiji has partnered with Australian surfboard brand Haydenshapes to expand its surf offering on Malolo Island, adding a curated range of new boards to the resort\u2019s existing quiver.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The partnership, announced 23 September 2026, brings the resort\u2019s surfboard fleet to 55, combining its existing stock with new Haydenshapes models including the Hypto Krypto, Holy Hypto and Nova FutureFlex. Haydenshapes said it plans to grow the range further throughout 2026.<\/p>\n

Malolo Island sits in the Mamanuca Islands and gives guests access to breaks including Cloudbreak, Restaurants and Namotu Lefts, alongside expert surf guides and boat transfers arranged by the resort.<\/p>\n

Haydenshapes was founded in 1997 by Australian designer Hayden Cox and is sold in more than 70 countries, with offices in Sydney and California. The brand\u2019s proprietary FutureFlex carbon fibre construction, patented by Cox in 2007, is designed to produce a lighter, more responsive board. Haydenshapes said its DarkNoiz Taj Burrow model won a 2026 blind board test run by surf publication Stab<\/em>, judged by surfer Ethan Ewing.<\/p>\n

To mark the partnership, Six Senses Fiji has launched a surf package for guests who book directly with the resort. It includes complimentary Haydenshapes surfboard hire for up to two guests for the length of their stay, two complimentary boat transfers to surf breaks including Cloudbreak, a 15-minute virtual surfboard design consultation with Cox, a 15 per cent discount on a new Haydenshapes board ordered as part of the offer, and a complimentary hardware pack of leg-rope, fins and traction pad with any board purchased.<\/p>\n

Mark Kitchen, general manager at Six Senses Fiji, said the tie-up built on surfing\u2019s role at the resort.<\/p>\n

Haydenshapes described the Hypto Krypto, one of the models now available at the resort, as the world\u2019s best-selling surfboard design. The company said the model is used by surfer Craig Anderson during sessions at Cloudbreak.<\/p>\n

Fiji\u2019s surf breaks are a longstanding drawcard for Australian travellers, and the tie-up gives Six Senses Fiji another point of difference as competition for the Mamanuca Islands\u2019 surf tourism market builds.<\/p>\n
