Students, staff, alumni and friends gathered Sept. 21 at St. Anthony of Padua Church for freshman convocation of the Padua Academy class of 2030 and installation of Patricia Scott,<\/a> the first president of the all-girls high school in Wilmington.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fathers Jack Kolodziej, OSFS, Oblates of St. Francis de Sales Wilmington-Philadelphia provincial, Vincent Kumar, OSFS, St. Anthony of Padua pastor, Mary McClory, Padua principal, and Lisa Jubb, board of trustees vice chair, were on hand for the celebration. A total of 12 Oblates joined the Mass.<\/p>\n

Scott is a former parent at the school and lifelong Wilmington resident. She was most recently president of Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pa., and previously had been principal of St. Edmond\u2019s Academy in Wilmington.<\/p>\n

She is also a member of the board of directors for Salesianum School in Wilmington.<\/p>\n

Padua welcomed 117 girls to its freshman class.<\/p>\n
