Festitalia on 20 September will transform the Brisbane Showgrounds into a bustling Italian piazza for a day of food, culture and entertainment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Italian festival will take over Alexandria Park and Expo Place, with a packed program featuring Italian food, live music, family entertainment and hands-on cultural experiences.<\/p>\n

Visitors can enjoy handmade pasta, woodfired pizza, gelato, espresso, Italian wines and more than 10,000 freshly made cannoli at the festival.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s iteration will also serve up something new, with Ancient Roman cooking demonstrations and mozzarella-making experiences giving visitors a hands-on taste of Italian culinary traditions.<\/p>\n

Crowds can also expect a high-energy return from world-renowned pizza acrobat Youssef Ben Touati, who will put his skills to the test with spectacular pizza-spinning performances.<\/p>\n

Aside from food, visitors can also enjoy Italian culture and family-friendly entertainment.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Additionally, visitors can experience Italian games, historical displays, fencing demonstrations, vintage Italian vehicles and a spaghetti eating competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to welcoming Festitalia back to our venue this Sunday for a vibrant Italian-style celebration,\u201d Brisbane Showgrounds general manager of venue sales and marketing Jago Coyle said. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to host major community and cultural celebrations in the heart of Brisbane, and it\u2019s fantastic to see the precinct come alive with food, music and entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Festitalia will start from 10:30am. Interested guests can purchase their tickets online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Brisbane Showgrounds precinct sits 1.5km from Brisbane\u2019s central business district and is Queensland\u2019s largest indoor and outdoor events site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
