Capella Sydney ranks as the Best Hotel in Oceania and 16th in the global ranking of The 50 Best Hotels 2026, returning to the prestigious global ranking for a second consecutive year.<\/strong><\/p>\n In 2025, the hotel in Australia ranked 12th of the top 50.<\/p>\n \u201cTo be recognised once again among the world\u2019s finest hotels is a wonderful acknowledgement of what our team has built together,\u201d Capella Sydney general manager Marc von Arnim said. \u201cThis recognition belongs to our colleagues, whose care, curiosity and commitment shape every guest experience.\u201d<\/p>\n Capella Sydney sits in the heart of Sydney\u2019s Sandstone Precinct and occupies the restored former Department of Education building. The 192-room hotel opened in 2023 as the first Capella hotel in Australia and brings together heritage architecture, contemporary design and a considered collection of more than 1,400 artworks.
