Qantas has officially opened its new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide, with South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas joining Qantas Group chief technology,\u202fAI\u202fand transformation officer Rachel Yangoyan to mark the milestone.<\/strong><\/p>\n The technology\u202fand innovation\u202fcentre, based in Adelaide\u2019s central business district,\u202fwill\u202faccelerate the delivery of intuitive, world-leading digital experiences for the airline\u2019s customers.<\/p>\n The centre will house the airline\u2019s technology product development teams, where product managers, digital experience designers, software engineers, and data and AI specialists will come together to transform how customers interact with Qantas across the entire journey.<\/p>\n The first\u202f50\u202femployees\u202fhave\u202falready begun working\u202ffrom\u202fnew\u202foffices, with Qantas recruiting for a further 40 roles. The airline\u202fremains\u202fon track to grow the centre to more than 400 digital and technology roles over the next three years.<\/p>\n \u201cQantas is one of Australia\u2019s most iconic companies, and the decision to establish its first Product Innovation Centre outside Sydney here in Adelaide is a major vote of confidence in South Australia,\u201d Malinauskas said. \u201cThis centre will create more than 400 highly-skilled digital jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n Qantas established a pilot team in a temporary space in March, ahead of the move into the new centre.
