Eurail is adopting the Interrail name globally, bringing European and international travellers under one brand for the first time.<\/strong><\/p>\n The change marks a new chapter for the rail pass company, which has helped non-European travellers explore the continent by train for more than 60 years.<\/p>\n While the Eurail name will disappear, the core product remains unchanged, with travellers continuing to access flexible rail travel across multiple European countries using a single pass.<\/p>\n The company said the unified Interrail identity better reflects its vision for the future of European rail travel and recognises that the experience of exploring the continent by train is universal, regardless of where travellers come from.<\/p>\n The rebrand also introduces \u201cThe Interrail Effect\u201d, a new global brand platform focused on slower, more conscious travel and the connections travellers make with people and places along the way.<\/p>\n Interrail chief brand and commercial officer Ozlem Birkalan said the change was about more than adopting a new name.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is much more than a new name. Interrail represents a renewed vision for European travel that reflects how people increasingly want to explore today \u2013 more thoughtfully, more flexibly, and with greater curiosity,\u201d Birkalan said.<\/p>\n \u201cFor decades we\u2019ve seen travellers return home with stories shaped not only by the places they visited, but by the conversations they had onboard, the unexpected towns they discovered, and the spontaneous decisions they made along the way.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Interrail Effect simply gives a name to something we\u2019ve witnessed for many years \u2013 that travel doesn\u2019t just take you somewhere new; it changes how you see the world and yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n Australians remain among Interrail\u2019s most important international travellers, with the market typically spending longer in Europe than many other visitors.<\/p>\n The company said Australians were increasingly embracing slower and more immersive trips, travelling beyond major European cities into regional and lesser-visited destinations.<\/p>\n The Interrail Pass allows travellers to board trains across multiple countries, giving them greater flexibility to incorporate scenic journeys, spontaneous stops and regional destinations into their itineraries.<\/p>\n The global rebrand comes alongside several additions and changes to the Interrail network.<\/p>\n A cross-border passenger service between Finland and Sweden launched on 10 August, restoring passenger rail between the two countries after 38 years. Finnish operator VR now runs services to Haparanda in Sweden, where passengers can connect with Norrt\u00e5g services through Sweden and onwards into continental Europe.<\/p>\n In September, Deutsche Bahn also launched twice-daily direct ICE services between Cologne and Antwerp, travelling via Aachen, Li\u00e8ge, Leuven and Brussels Airport. The route connects Brussels Airport directly to the ICE network for the first time.<\/p>\n The Berlin\u2013Stockholm EuroNight also remains part of the Interrail network following RDC\u2019s takeover of the service on 1 September. The overnight route connects the two capitals via Hamburg, with reservations required for Passholders.<\/p>\n European Sleeper has meanwhile launched a new overnight connection between Brussels and Milan.
