News Corp Australasia has launched Beyond’27, a five-session intelligence series aimed at Australia’s leading marketers, with a dedicated travel session scheduled for September 9.

Kicking off this week, each session in the series is built around a single consumer category, offering brands category-specific insights designed to cut through market complexity and drive growth.

The travel session will examine how artificial intelligence is collapsing the consumer journey, and why trust – rather than performance marketing – is emerging as the new competitive advantage for travel brands.

The other four sessions in the series are:

  • Advocacy & Impact (September 2): how misinformation is reshaping brand reputation, and why advocacy has become a business priority.
  • Health, Wellness & Beauty (September 3): how conflicting online advice is replacing clarity with confusion, and why the category must shift from selling transformation to delivering daily support.
  • Sport & Entertainment (September 8): how fandom has expanded beyond the live moment into the stories, rituals and communities around it.
  • Finance & Essential Services (September 10): why price-led retention is failing and complexity is paralysing consumers, and why trust must be built long before comparison shopping begins.

News Corp Australasia executive chairman Michael Miller said the forces reshaping consumer behaviour were not moving at the same pace or in the same direction across categories.

“Marketers deserve more than a one-size-fits-all view of what is coming. Beyond’27 is our commitment to going deeper by bringing the intelligence, the evidence and the thinking that helps our partners make better decisions in an uncertain market,” he said.

News Australia chief revenue officer Lou Barrett said each session was built around one question.

“Every one of our Beyond’27 sessions is built around a single question: what do marketers in this category need to know right now to grow? she said. “We are not here to tell people what they want to hear. We’re going to give them the sharpest possible read on where their consumer is heading and to show them exactly how News Australia’s audience, data and content capabilities can help them get there.”

Each Beyond’27 session moves from human insights through to category-specific intelligence, closing with commercial propositions, and will be held at News Australia’s Sydney headquarters followed by networking drinks and dinner.
