Princess Cruises has revealed a series of enhancements aboard Royal Princess, as the 3,595-guest ship emerged from a two-week drydock in Singapore.

The revamp added the Sanctuary Collection, an Irish pub and 20 new cabins ahead of the ship’s Sydney summer season.

The 16–30 October  refit introduces the Sanctuary Collection to Royal Princess, part of the cruise line’s rollout to five of its Royal-Class ships. It also adds O’Malley’s Irish Pub and an expanded Bellini’s cocktail bar to the ship’s Piazza.

“The enhancements aboard Royal Princess introduce new accommodations, distinctive venues for entertaining, dining and socialising, and thoughtfully refreshed spaces designed to elevate every aspect of the guest experience,” Princess Cruises chief operating officer Rodrigo Llaguno said.

“These updates build on the ship’s enduring appeal and our commitment to creating memorable vacations through exceptional experiences and the signature Princess touches our guests have valued since her debut.”

Ship highlights

• Royal Princess now offers the premium, all-inclusive Sanctuary Collection, which includes access to the Sanctuary Club, elevated amenities and personalised service.
• The drydock adds 20 guest cabins: six mini-suites, seven oceanview, two interior and five single interior.
• Bellini’s expands into the former Photo Gallery space, creating a larger venue overlooking the Piazza. It serves Bellini-inspired cocktails, champagne, sparkling wines and other specialty drinks.
• Princess Casino has been reconfigured for a more open gaming environment, with extra space for slot machines. Crews removed the staircase connecting decks 6 and 7 to expand the floor.

Royal Princess now heads Down Under for a season of cruising from Sydney, taking in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

She is one of three Princess ships sailing in the region during the 2026–27 season, which features 42 unique trips and 62 departures. Royal Princess will offer voyages featuring Australian and New Zealand cities, landscapes and cultures, along with shorter coastal getaways.
