Sydney Airport has launched Hosts, a new personalised service designed to support travellers through the airport’s T1 international terminal.
Available to all international travellers, Hosts covers arrivals, departures and transfers.
Departing passengers meet a dedicated host at an agreed location, including T1 International check-in or Premium Valet. The host then assists them through check-in, security screening and border processing, and escorts them to the lounge or departure gate.
For arriving passengers, a host meets them at the arrivals gate and guides them through border formalities. The host also helps with baggage claim and accompanies them to their preferred onward transport.
Passengers book online in advance and choose the option that best suits their needs. Sydney Airport briefs each assigned host on the passenger’s itinerary and service preferences before the journey. Depending on the service selected, hosts escort passengers to their departure gate, the airport exit or an onward flight connection.
“We know there’s growing demand for airport services that provide additional support, comfort and convenience, particularly for passengers who may be unfamiliar with the airport, travelling with family, short on time, or simply looking for greater ease at every stage of their journey,” Sydney Airport group executive of commercial Mark Zaouk said. “The launch follows the recent introduction of Fast Track and continues our focus on giving travellers more choice, greater convenience and a smoother experience through Australia’s busiest international gateway.”
Sydney Airport will launch further premium services as part of a broader pipeline designed to strengthen choice, convenience and the overall passenger experience over time.
