Avalon Waterways will feature in the premiere episode of Channel 7’s new cruising series, Ports to Paradise, with host Mark Beretta.

The episode will air this Saturday, 10 October, at 7pm and will invite Australian viewers to discover river cruising from a new perspective.

“I have no doubt Avalon Waterways do it better than any other operator on the rivers” Beretta said. “From the exceptional excursions, dining options with regionally inspired cuisine and the beautifully designed ship, I was completely blown away by the experience.”

The episode follows Beretta aboard two of Avalon Waterways’ most popular European river cruise itineraries, Burgundy & Provence and Romantic Rhine. Together, the journeys highlight the combination of waterfront views, experiences ashore and the flexibility to explore Europe at a relaxed pace.

The episode also offers a look inside Avalon Waterways’ signature Suite Ships, highlighting the interiors and regionally inspired dining.

“Travellers from Australia and New Zealand are realising that river cruising, where you unpack once, and wake up each day in a new, fascinating city or town is an incredibly rewarding way to travel,” Globus family of brands head of marketing of APAC Johanna Raeder said. “In Ports to Paradise those planning a trip to Europe will see that cruising with Avalon Waterways takes them to the heart of Europe’s majestic rivers and towns in relaxed luxury.”

To celebrate the episode, viewers can take advantage of an exclusive offer. Travellers can book a 2027 Romantic Rhine or Burgundy & Provence cruise between 10 to 30 October 2026 and receive one complimentary pre or post cruise hotel night, combinable with all current promotions.

Travellers can learn more about the featured itineraries on Avalon Waterways’ website.
