Brady Group has officially opened Brady Hotel Elizabeth Street, a 211-room property at 278 Little Lonsdale Street that takes its Melbourne CBD hotel portfolio beyond 1000 rooms.
The 31-storey hotel was opened on Wednesday by Brady Group managing director Tony Brady and Lord Mayor of Melbourne Nick Reece. Guests enter via Zevenboom Lane under a 40-metre mural by Melbourne artist Kitt Bennett, then travel to a Level 8 sky lobby topped with a glass dome.
Rooms above Level 8 include skyline and semicircular City View rooms with 180-degree panoramas. All rooms have an opening window, natural light, a walk-in shower, complimentary Wi-Fi and Chromecast. Room types include king, twin, accessible and two-bedroom family options.

For corporate travellers, the hotel has a guest-only lounge and co-working space on Level 8, along with a cardio gym, self-serve laundry and 24-hour reception.
Brady said the property was “a building we acquired, designed, developed and constructed, and which our own hotel team now has the privilege of operating”.
“We remain enormously confident in Melbourne and the future of its visitor economy, and we look forward to continuing to invest in the city for many years to come,” he said.
Brady Group general manager – hotels and hospitality Robert Moore said the hotel was “built around what travellers actually use”, pointing to a good bed, fast Wi-Fi, space to work and a team that knows the city.

Reece welcomed the sixth new Brady hotel in Melbourne, saying visitors “all need somewhere to stay” as interstate and international visitation grows.
The privately owned group has developed more than 2900 apartments in the CBD since the mid-1970s and handles development, design, construction and operations in-house. It also operates voco Melbourne Central under franchise.
To mark the opening, Brady Hotels is offering a limited number of King City View stays from $211 a night. The first 211 eligible bookings will also receive a numbered and signed Kitt Bennett print.
