Atura will open its fifth Australian hotel in October, bringing a 184-room property to the heart of Oran Park Town in Sydney’s southwest.

EVT Hotels & Resorts has developed the hotel in partnership with the Perich family on the site of the former Oran Park Raceway, marking the first hotel for the fast-growing master planned community.

The hotel sits in the centre of Oran Park Town, just 20 minutes from the new Western Sydney International (WSI) Airport, which will open up commercial flights also in October. Oran Park’s population is forecast to grow beyond 50,000 residents in coming decades, while the new airport is expected to welcome millions of passengers a year.

“We’re opening at a time when south western Sydney is experiencing extraordinary growth and momentum, and being the closest hotel to the new Western Sydney International Airport puts us in a commanding position to support travellers in and out of Sydney,” Atura Oran Park area general manager Shannon Craig said.

Atura Oran Park will house an Italian-inspired restaurant and bar, a resort-style pool and terrace, and flexible conference and event facilities alongside its guest rooms and suites. The design draws on the region’s motorsport heritage and the Perich family’s history on the site.

“Oran Park is exactly the kind of market where Atura thrives,” EVT Hotels Group GM Callum Kennedy said. “It’s a fast-growing destination with a strong sense of identity, increasing demand from business and leisure travellers, and significant momentum as Western Sydney continues to evolve.”

Atura already operates hotels in Blacktown, Albury, Dandenong and Adelaide Airport, and the Oran Park property extends the brand’s push into high-growth communities.
