Seven Luxury Lodges of Australia members have been named among world’s best in Condé Nast Readers’ Choice Awards.
Silky Oaks Lodge, Southern Ocean Lodge and qualia were each honoured by readers of both the US and UK Condé Nast titles in the 2026 awards.
In the US Condé Nast Traveler awards, Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest placed 15th in the overall Best Resorts in the World list with 99.55 points out of 100. It also took first place in Best Resorts Australia and New Zealand.
Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island was second in the regional list with 98.50 points, followed by Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island in third with 98.43 points. qualia in the Whitsundays ranked seventh with 98.19 points, and Lizard Island in Tropical North Queensland was ninth with 97.95 points.
The Louise in the Barossa Valley placed 10th in the US title’s World’s Best Hotels, Australia and New Zealand list.
In the UK Condé Nast Traveller awards, qualia came second in World’s Best Hotels, Australasia and South Pacific with 98.58 points. Southern Ocean Lodge was fifth, Longitude 131° at Uluru-Kata Tjuṯa was seventh and Silky Oaks Lodge was 10th.
Luxury Lodges of Australia executive chair Penny Rafferty said the results were voted for by travellers themselves and reflected “the passion and care that goes into every guest stay”.
She said it was especially pleasing to see so many members recognised by readers in both the US and UK.
The collection includes 20 lodges and offers more than 350 experiences, which Rafferty said gives travellers reason to combine multiple lodge stays in one itinerary.
