New York, Sept. 28 (SANA) Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on Monday strongly condemned continued Israeli attacks on countries in the region, particularly Syria and Lebanon, reaffirming Algeria’s rejection of violations of state sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Speaking during the 81st session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Attaf said Algeria “renews its condemnation of violations of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries in the region,” according to U.N. News.

He called for an approach based on de-escalation and respect for international law in addressing tensions and conflicts affecting regional security and stability.

Algeria reiterated earlier this month its support and solidarity with Syria and Lebanon in the face of continued Israeli aggression and expansionist policies, while calling for an end to the occupation of Arab territories.
